Renowned Punjabi film writer Naresh Kathooria, celebrated for penning some of the biggest hits in Punjabi cinema, is all set to entertain audiences in a brand-new avatar — as the lead actor in his upcoming film “Happy Khush Ho Gaya.”

The film’s cast — Naresh Kathooria, Deedar Gill, and Sanjeev Atri — recently visited Delhi to promote the film. A reincarnation-based comedy, Happy Khush Ho Gaya promises a laughter-filled ride packed with fun, emotions, and fresh entertainment.

Known for writing blockbuster films like Carry On Jatta series, Vekh Baraatan Challiyan, Shinda Shinda No Papa, and many others, Naresh Kathooria is now ready to bring his signature humour to life on screen.

The film also stars Gurpreet Bhangu opposite Naresh Kathooria, and their on-screen chemistry has already created buzz among audiences. The ensemble cast further includes Jatinder Kaur, Deedar Gill, Honey Mattu, Gurmeet Sajjan, Gurdayal Paras, Gurinder Makna, and other talented actors.

Speaking about his new journey, Naresh Kathooria said, “I’ve always believed in entertaining the audience — from writing characters to now performing them, this is a natural progression. It feels like a full-circle moment for me.”

Director Kshitij Chaudhary, known for his distinctive sense of humour and mainstream entertainment, shared, “We wanted to present the concept of reincarnation in a way that’s never been seen before in Punjabi cinema — fun, fast-paced, and heartfelt. The energy on set was incredible, and audiences can expect a true rollercoaster experience.”

Producer Munish Sahni of Omjee’s Cine World added, “We’ve always believed in delivering unique and engaging stories to our audience. Happy Khush Ho Gaya is a refreshing entertainer with universal appeal — a story that guarantees laughter and joy.”

Directed by Kshitij Chaudhary and produced by Omjee’s Cine World, KNC Studios, U & I Films, and Naresh Kathooria Films, Happy Khush Ho Gaya is slated to release in theatres on November 7, 2025.

The film’s teaser has already created excitement across digital platforms, setting the stage for one of the most entertaining Punjabi comedies of the year.
