ZINDAGI KAISI HAI PAHELI is the fifth consecutive Centenary Event
organized by Kolkata based ‘Take 5 Communications’ this one to remember Music
Maestro SALIL CHOWDHURY in his Birth Centenary Year.
The Event was held at Rotary Sadan Kolkata on the 30th of
August 2025 receiving an overwhelming response from the lovers of retro music.
The audience Travelled back into a bygone golden era of Indian film music and
lapped up one Salil Chowdhury composition after the other.
The two-and-a-half hour show boasted of some timeless melodies
composed by the music maestro performed by Raja Hussain, Sudeshna Kundu, Dr.
Bratati Bhattacharyya, Sudeshna Chakraborty, Apurba Roy Chowdhury and Pappu
Chauhan on stage that mesmerized one and all.
Popular Hindi and Bengali Songs like ‘Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke’, ‘Dil
Tadap Tadap Ke’, ‘Kahin Door Jab Din Dhal Jaaye’, ‘Biswapita Tumi’, ‘Amaye
Prashno Kore’, ‘Na Jaane Kyon’, ‘Jaaneman Jaaneman’, ‘Dhitang Dhitang Bole’,
‘Shono Kono Ek Din’, ‘Rajanigandha Phool Tumhare’ among other hit numbers were
performed live much to the delight of those who were there. A special audio
visual presentation on Salil Chowdhury’s works was screened at the beginning of
the programme. Special ‘Talks’ on Salil Chowdhury were given by prominent
speakers of the city during the course of the Event.
The august gathering at Rotary Sadan comprised top bosses from the
corporate world, professors and deans from educational institutions,
dignitaries from the arena of art & culture and eminent citizens of the
city.
The show was anchored by Pranam Roy.
Tathagata Bhattacherjee, chief of ‘Take 5 Communications’ is very
upbeat about the successes of their Centenary Tribute Events of Creative
