Director Soumendra Padhi (Budhia Singh, Jamtara-Sabka Number Aayega) delivers a refreshing movie about toppers from humble backgrounds who are forced into helping other rich students cheat. Thankfully the film is devoid of any school romance. Padhi also makes it quite thrilling. The performances too by debutante Alizeh (daughter of Atul Agnihotri) and Sahil Mehta stand out.
Niyati (Alizeh) who stays in an orphanage
run by Shailesh (an adorable Ronit Roy) and Renuka (a loving Juhi Babbar Soni)
tops Delhi class 10 boards and is admitted on scholarship in one of the reputed
and prestigious schools of Delhi. Akash (Sahil Mehta) again from a humble
background also gets admission on a scholarship in the same school as Niyati.
During an exam, Niyati saves a manipulative Chhavi (a lovely Prasanna Bisht) by
helping her cheat. This leads to other rich students including Prateek (a good Zeyn
Shaw) asking her to help them in exchange for big money. So starts the passing
of Farrey (chits to cheat) which lands both Niyati and Akash in Australia to
help them cheat from different time zones.
Farrey will keep you hooked but one wished
that film could have been more slicker given the fact that Salman Khan is one
of the producers. Even the production values could have been richer. However,
despite the flaws the film is a nice and thrilling watch.
