Mumbai :The team of the upcoming Punjabi musical
film 'Athru' (meaning tear) celebrated a major milestone as the title song of the
film was officially launched at Baa Mee Restaurant, Mumbai. The launch event
witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of media, industry guests, and music
lovers, marking a memorable evening filled with emotions, music, and
appreciation for new creative talent.
The soulful title track “Athru” — sung, written,
and composed by Sikandar Maan — was unveiled under the music label Doss Music.
Sikandar not only lends his voice and vision to the song but also directs and
plays the lead in the film. The movie is produced by Snehashesh Pathak, with
Sarfaraz Shaikh as Co-Producer, under the banner White & Black Production.
The film promises a refreshing storytelling experience with music playing a
pivotal role, and the makers will soon announce its official release date.
The evening’s highlight was the presence of Guest
of Honour — renowned singer Arvinder. Known for evergreen hits such as “Kala
Sha Kala” and “Kudiyan Shehar Diyan”, Arvinder shared his admiration for the
song and the passion behind the project.
Arvinder, Guest of Honour, shared: ‘Athru’ is a song that stays with you. The lyrics are powerful, and the tune reflects true emotion. Sikandar’s sincerity as an artist shows in every line. I’m happy to witness such pure, heartfelt music being created — this song will touch people deeply.”
Speaking about the moment, Sikandar Maan, Singer–Composer–Director, said: 'Athru' comes from a very personal space. It is about emotions that we often hide but feel deeply. I wanted to create something honest — music that doesn’t just play in your ears but stays in your heart. I’m grateful to my producers and team for trusting this journey.”
The title song 'Athru' features Sikandar Maan as the
singer, lyricist, composer, and director. The film stars Sehar as the female
lead and also features performances by Sukhwinder Sohi, Munish Chopra, Sunny,
and Vansh. The music for the song is produced by KP Sandhu. The film is
shepherded creatively by Project Head Akhilesh Tiwari and produced by
Snehashesh Pathak with Sarfaraz Shaikh as Co-Producer. The film is presented
under the banner of White & Black Production, and the song is released on
the Doss Music label.
With its emotional depth, genuine performances, and
soulful music, 'Athru' promises to be a musical cinematic experience that
resonates with audiences.
