Celebrating the legendary icon of Muga Silk, Sampa
Das, a fabulous coffee table book titled "Sampa Das Golden Muga
Revivalist " was launched at the Tollygunge Club. The book traces her
remarkable journey and has been penned by another PR icon in the city, Rita
Bhimani. One of the most celebrated personalities in the country Ruby Pal
Choudhuri was the chief guest.
Oindrilla Dutt made the magical evening a reality
as the moderator par excellence !
Organised by AHAVA Communications in association
with Open Doors, the event saw some very esteemed and highly respected
panelists, path breakers in their own right like Alokananda Roy and Priti Patel
who added much flavour and hues to highlight Sampa Das's indomitable efforts
towards preserving Muga Silk even today.
Ms Universe India Usho Sengupta choreographed a
charming walk displaying Sampa Das's work and Kolkata coffee man Partha
Mukherjee stunned the audience with his creativity that will be hanging on the
walls of the Tollygunge Club.
