Over-the-top action-packed entertainer

Rating: 3/5

The best part about the F&F series is that you just sit back and relax and you will be transported to high-octane unbelievable action. Fast X doesn’t disappoint with its riveting action. The director too has a ball, not needing to do anything here as it’s basically an action-choreography film and the same goes for the acting chops of all the leading actors.

Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa) wants to seek revenge on Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family as the latter had stolen the vault of fortune of Dante’s father.

After the departure of Justin Lin from the production, the director of “Now You Can See Me” was asked to direct the film, and he seems to enjoy it immensely. The fun quotient is less compared to the previous ones, yet you are glued to your seats throughout. In such films, the dialogues do not make much of a difference so one may feel the dialogues are dumb, that can pass. The CGI too is excellent.

Vin Diesel proves that he is the Salman Khan of the US, who is devoid of any facial expressions and can’t deliver a single dialogue. They can’t milk Paul Walker enough that’s why they have added his CGI double in Fast X, even if it’s for a single scene. John Cena proves yet again that he has just one expression. Jason Momoa plays the gayest and the funniest villain ever and seems to be having a lot of fun playing his character. His villainy is possibly the best-acting part of the film. Jason Statham, for the little time he is on screen, delivers a seeti-maar performance.

Vin Diesel, like in all the other films, keeps on preaching about the importance of family and at times gets on one’s nerves.

Definitely a treat for the lovers of the Fast & Furious franchise. Can't wait to see Part 2!
