Kolkata: Finding the philosophy of life through music is now perhaps one of the ways to get rid of the negativity around you. The touch of melody provides some shade in life. The shelter of melody keeps our minds moist. We need peace of mind to live in a healthy way in the negative environment of this pandemic.
There has
always been the tradition to celebrate Rabindra Jayanti with dance and singing
performances, but in the current situation it is no longer possible. Noted
dancer Sulagna Roy Bhattacharjee has come up with "Amar Mukti Aloy
Aloy" a new music video with her students. She has released it on
Sulagna's YouTube Channel. The music video, choreographed and presented by
Sulagna, was made at home without any gathering to assure the safety of her
students. Ten of her dancers had joined the initiative. Sulagna says, "We
need melody as much as possible now in life to heal our soul. I am looking for
activities through music and dance to keep ourselves engaging in positive work.
Rabindra Sangeet is our refuge all the time. Even in these difficult times, Tagore’s
songs are a source of liberation.” The dancer has plans for a stage event once
this pandemic gets over.
