Burdwan: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit out at the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee with her own very popular ‘khela hobe’ jingle at a rally in Bardhaman on Monday.
He said, “The people of Bengal are
well aware and they have bowled out Didi with so many fours and sixers in the first
four phases of the polls. Didi has been bowled out of the field.”
“Didi has been clean bowled from Nandidgram,
her time is up in Bengal. She who had wanted to play with you, has been
defeated herself,” he said.
“The people of Bengal visionary and
aware. Didi was ready to hand over the party’s reign to ‘Bhai po’, but her game
is now over. Khela shesh,”
“Didi’s whole team has been driven
out of the field,” Modi said while talking about poor governance and lack of
infrastructure in Beegal.
The PM also referred
to the incident where a policeman from Bihar, who had come to Bengal for
investigation, was beaten to death by a mob in Bengal. “That brave police
officer who had come to Bengal on duty just two days ago, was beaten to death.
When his mother saw his body, she too died. Didi, is that officer's mother not
a mother for you? No mother in Bengal knows how harsh and ruthless you are,” Modi
said blasting her ‘Ma, Mati, Manush' slogan.
