Dutt, Sadhna, Feroz Khan, Achala Sachdev, Ramesh Deo, Sidhu, Helen,

<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #313131; font-family: "helvetica neue", serif; font-size: 12pt;">Released on 24th March 1974. Geetaa Mera Naam was producer
RK Nayyar’s conception of a super hit (as mentioned in the opening
credits). The film which turned 50 this year was conceptualized as a comeback vehicle for Sadhana who
also directed the film, but after its release, the film became a huge comeback film
for Sunil Dutt who was going through a very lean period then. So good was Dutt
Saab, playing the anti-hero role to perfection, that he overshadowed both Sadhana
(in a double role) and Feroz Khan with his towering presence and booming
dialogue delivery. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #313131; font-family: "helvetica neue", serif; font-size: 12pt;">The film
has a usual RK Narayan story where a mother of four is separated from her three
children in a mela. Dacoits run riot in the mela and pick up the elder sibling
Suraj. A twin daughter is also lost along with another son. Many years later
Suraj becomes a dreaded smuggler Johny who made wax statues out of his
betrayers in his gang. He is aided closely by his friend Raja (a dashing Feroz
Khan). One daughter Kavita (Sadhana) is a school teacher for orphans and the
other Geeta (Sadhana in the titular role) is a street-smart thief who stays with
her mother. The other son Chander (Ramesh Deo) becomes a police officer. Raja
falls in love with Geetaa and inducts her into Johny’s gang. At one point Geetaa
gives it back to Johny by saying ‘Agar Johny tera naam hai… toh Geetaa Mera
Naam hai’. However, after lots of fights, action, songs, train robbery & a swimming pool scene (featuring Khan & Sadhana) the bhai-behen-bhai-maa are
all united in the end, but Johny does prayashchit by saying ‘Jo jaan lena jaante
hai unhe jaan dene ka andaz bhi aana chahiye’ and turns into wax statue in
his lair showcase.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #313131; font-family: "helvetica neue", serif; font-size: 12pt;">The film
had a nearly 35-minute climax which completely belonged to Sunil Dutt. You
simply couldn’t take your eyes off his panther-like strides and good
looks. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #313131; font-family: "helvetica neue", serif; font-size: 12pt;">Dutt looked
deadly, Khan handsome but Sadhana had lost her charm by then. The music by
Laxmi-Pyare had the emotional chartbuster ‘Lahoo ko lahoo pukarega’ which
brings a lump to your throat in the climax. The other Rafi song ‘Mohabbat yeh
mohabbat’ picturized on Feroz Khan is pleasing. The Lata number ‘Aji suniye
zara dekhiye na’ and the Asha number ‘mujhe maar daalo mein’ were both lilting
and immensely popular.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #313131; font-family: "helvetica neue", serif; font-size: 12pt;">On the
whole, the film is a fast-paced typical masala potboiler that became a jubilee
hit when released 50 years ago. It’s a full-on time-pass entertainer despite having
its share of flaws.</span></p>Kolkata Konnecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717623185091805261noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3322950753422750333.post-22685643917533342572024-03-27T20:36:00.000-07:002024-03-27T20:36:39.998-07:00B-town divas who are ruling the hearts of Gen-Z with their fashion game<p><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-QOV9w_Cz7gMxOa5X8nhXSmLA65zBZKNUrBLe5ocZFaCD161y3P9ptlErNJlX73FRmyxOwvy_3FFFGXh76ouKG1VP8CtbQQ29OEUT9TdVXofkN9XuqKxSCrGP_XRe4fy5dM3UmFUTWHBvntXbVVuSFNKYF88UfGGnojB_2dfYfEn7naWtSrUcEgiS_QeC/s1600/btown.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-QOV9w_Cz7gMxOa5X8nhXSmLA65zBZKNUrBLe5ocZFaCD161y3P9ptlErNJlX73FRmyxOwvy_3FFFGXh76ouKG1VP8CtbQQ29OEUT9TdVXofkN9XuqKxSCrGP_XRe4fy5dM3UmFUTWHBvntXbVVuSFNKYF88UfGGnojB_2dfYfEn7naWtSrUcEgiS_QeC/w640-h640/btown.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />The Indian entertainment industry is filled with ravishing and
enchanting beauties who are always on top of their game when it comes to
radiating oomph quotient, beauty, charm, and exuberance. While it is a difficult
task naturally for some due to which a team of fashion experts comes handy all
the time, for some, it is something completely natural. Fashion is all about
feeling good, happy, and confident in your own skin and in your own comfort zone
and very few manage to crack that hack successfully. So today, here we are
taking a look at three such young divas in the Indian entertainment industry
who are truly here to dominate and rule hearts big time with their effective
style quotient. Let's take a close look.<p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Ananya Panday:</b> She's attractive, elegant and almost every adjective
falls short for this adorable diva. She's always been at her absolute best and
that's why, anything from bold and high-chic to ethnic, traditional, and simple
comes naturally to her. A mandatory pick indeed in this special list.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Arushi Nishank: </b>If it's a conversation of Gen-Z divas who are truly
dominating the vogue game and ruling hearts, there's absolutely no way we could
have missed out on the name of Arushi Nishank. From stylish and elegant
traditional outfits to co-ord sets, shimmers, & high-chic style avatars, is
there literally anything that she can't create an impact with? Well, certainly
not. The diva has got all the 'boss babe' vibes that are needed to rule hearts
and no wonder, she's your go-to diva to follow when it comes to all types of
vogue choices of any theme. She certainly knows how to strike a balance between
being a producer and an actor. There's a lot of anticipation and excitement
regarding her upcoming movie 'Tarini' which is about the heroics of 6 naval
officers & we truly can't wait. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Alaya F:</b> Last but certainly not the least, we have to talk about Alaya F
in this list and why not. Right from the word go aka her debut film with Saif
Ali Khan and Tabu, she's been in her element and we love our share of visual
delight. She's the perfect blend of someone who has got both departments sorted
when it comes to acting and fashion and that's exactly what people want in
their fashion idols from the entertainment industry. No wonder, she is a
well-deserved entry in this special list. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">So readers,
according to us aka your 'vogue police', we truly feel these are the divas whom
you really need to see and take inspiration from if hitting the style quotient
bang on point is your goal. </span></p>Kolkata Konnecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717623185091805261noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3322950753422750333.post-5466594808788300332024-03-24T23:07:00.000-07:002024-03-24T23:21:53.892-07:00Celebrating woman power at Self & Beyond<p><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju23gOO-RSoimPqIsj0xm-RCRh4jY1gfo9aKQ2adPoj1-1SDLrSZziKIHhV9dTLiL4tR2WEst5Lbk5_kPoynIquqzziFg5fuC38DJZ_6utozijUpZZJezxpDCHXz4D6BqeifBTVsftZAhecHjLcC3xAGlln7YOSHiVZhMYkjD-ImKeb3Jh0iEXiTMxbL82/s4080/wicci1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3060" data-original-width="4080" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju23gOO-RSoimPqIsj0xm-RCRh4jY1gfo9aKQ2adPoj1-1SDLrSZziKIHhV9dTLiL4tR2WEst5Lbk5_kPoynIquqzziFg5fuC38DJZ_6utozijUpZZJezxpDCHXz4D6BqeifBTVsftZAhecHjLcC3xAGlln7YOSHiVZhMYkjD-ImKeb3Jh0iEXiTMxbL82/w640-h480/wicci1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZjhUqpCkyqaYGInAlIPoL8Rp-MlzXK0r2E14H4XtRFCdd098UIkKz-WwyRY7ZgxUIeDUpT3tjIsJQLMNFIV92rDMowKsDfY8sYlcXCRBvJLpK4N59p1jgZE8tK0BQ8p4wigJtewGK-YHxleht_nhe4v7oxmBHCIA0c5z4NTqDU-n4ciELdLSifwcwLcxP/s1600/self2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZjhUqpCkyqaYGInAlIPoL8Rp-MlzXK0r2E14H4XtRFCdd098UIkKz-WwyRY7ZgxUIeDUpT3tjIsJQLMNFIV92rDMowKsDfY8sYlcXCRBvJLpK4N59p1jgZE8tK0BQ8p4wigJtewGK-YHxleht_nhe4v7oxmBHCIA0c5z4NTqDU-n4ciELdLSifwcwLcxP/w480-h640/self2.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCwCJj87q0L-NVaNFLxXMRNHxOoiC4u_pTACFJ02Z4xPtZQJmX_o9EBb5twlLUAGuhzR8Fug0Ojjd9jd8qkF1s-5ujm5u3muxW6ZpKTUBJS4mKLE8aLnhIZzhDEZg-NJK_x4EcBjLtAPu0wV5-MhIIrrw6821AwduFfkj_WyPEY5CCwoTDh4z-9qRrZ8PO/s1600/self1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCwCJj87q0L-NVaNFLxXMRNHxOoiC4u_pTACFJ02Z4xPtZQJmX_o9EBb5twlLUAGuhzR8Fug0Ojjd9jd8qkF1s-5ujm5u3muxW6ZpKTUBJS4mKLE8aLnhIZzhDEZg-NJK_x4EcBjLtAPu0wV5-MhIIrrw6821AwduFfkj_WyPEY5CCwoTDh4z-9qRrZ8PO/w480-h640/self1.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br />Women’s Day was celebrated with a difference on March 22 . A
pampering mental health experience was in store for all those who signed up for "Shakti
! Thy name is woman" at Self & Beyond. Held by WICCI Mental Health
Council, in collaboration with the Calcutta Chamber of Commerce Ladies Forum, the two-hour
event was an award of fulfillment, to take back the art of handling loneliness,
to steer your relationship safely, and not to be drowned in stress.</span></div><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="vertical-align: bottom;"><span face=""Arial",sans-serif" style="color: #222222;">The evening started with the welcome address by WICCI president
Chayanika Bhiwaniwala who stressed on the fact that women are the
incarnation of power and strength. They are to walk shoulder to shoulder with
men, being an integral part in the nation’s development. She narrated a story
to emphasize that it’s our perception that can make a difference to our lives.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="vertical-align: bottom;"><span face=""Arial",sans-serif" style="color: #222222;">WICCI Vice President Indrani Ganguli spoke about how WICCI
Mental Health Council is making great strides in looking beyond and more to
spread awareness about mental health well being and erasing the stigma associated
with it.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="vertical-align: bottom;"><span face=""Arial",sans-serif" style="color: #222222;">The group of around 40 participants were then divided into three
groups to attend three 15 minute sessions one after the other.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="vertical-align: bottom;"><span face=""Arial",sans-serif" style="color: #222222;">Sarika Shah & Sakshi Harlalka’s session on ‘Relationships’
in the Hall of Harmony stressed on how important relations were to survive in
this world. We need to keep in place our relations with our own selves like loving
yourself, emotional quotient, reclaiming your inner child. This helps in maintaining
relations with the people around but we need to set boundaries, have the ability
to let go, be forgiving, full of gratitude, have empathy with acceptance and trust.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="vertical-align: bottom;"><span face=""Arial",sans-serif" style="color: #222222;">Priti Patodia & Varsha Agarwalla’s session on ‘Stress and Anxiety’
in the Hall of Wisdom has the two defining and distinguishing between stress
and anxiety. Stress was a response to an external stimuli which was challenging
and difficult for you to cope with. Prolonged stress leads to diabetes and heart
problems. Anxiety becomes a disorder when you get anxious even in the absence

celebrities share their best Holi memories, as well as plans for this
year. <p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Prasad Barve</b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">Holi always brings a festive mood, marking the beginning of the festive
season and the onset of summer. It's a vibrant celebration filled with colors
and joy. Today's children are quite advanced; they're taught in school about
the importance of conserving water and playing eco-friendly Holi, and they
adhere to these principles. Personally, I enjoy indulging in puranpolis with
desi ghee and milk, considering it the ultimate treat. One particular memory
stands out from my childhood: when I was 8 years old, lots of Puran polis were
made at our home and my grandfather passed away that day. Despite the sorrow,
our dadi instructed us not to waste a single bite, and we honored her wish.
Although she belonged to an earlier era, her values remain timeless. As we approach
the season's inaugural festival, it holds a special place in our hearts. I urge
everyone to use water wisely.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Nikhil Nanda</b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">Holi is a festival of love and god saving his disciples by the
incarceration of a half lion half man. It serves as a reminder of the power of
faith and the protection offered by the divine. Moreover, Holi is a time when
people come together, setting aside differences and grievances, to rejoice in
each other's company. It symbolizes the unity and harmony that can prevail
despite any divisions or conflicts. During Holi, individuals from all walks of
life gather to celebrate, spreading joy and laughter as they renew bonds of
friendship and family. In essence, Holi is not merely a festival of colors and
festivities; it is a celebration of love, faith, unity, and the eternal triumph
of good over evil. It inspires us to embrace one another, regardless of our
differences, and to cherish the connections that bind us as a community.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Namita Lal</b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">I love Holi. Among all the Indian festivals, Holi is my favourite. I'm
from Lucknow, and my parents are from Ayodhya and Jaipur, while Ajmer is where
my grandparents reside. So, we used to celebrate Holi with music, dance, food,
homemade gujiya, colours, gulaal, balloons, pichkari, everything. The family
would gather with friends from the entire colony, and there would be dholak,
and all of us would sing and dance. That's Holi for me, and I love to have that
kind of opportunity. Even now, whether I am in Singapore or in Madh Island in
Raheja's, where I have had the best Holi celebrations for a long time with all
the people I've met. And I'm hoping this year I get to celebrate equally well.
So, it's my favourite. I love to eat all kinds of food, whether it's chaat or
gujiya; I just love to indulge in such food, and I love to play with colours.
It's a wonderful thing for me.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Jason Tham</b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">We celebrate Holi purely for the colours, friends, delicious food and a
get together because it’s a holiday. Whenever we celebrate at our place, we
like to mix it up a little like infusing Western cuisine such as scones with
jam, avocado chips, pineapple salsa, etc. This year we'll try something new
again, still haven’t thought of it.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Gurpreet Singh</b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">I'm really excited about Holi! It's always been a big celebration for me
and my family. We'll start in the evening with a small Holi celebration with
some traditional rituals and prayers, and then on the next day, like on Holi,
we dive into the colourful festivities. Holi is all about spreading joy and
happiness. It's a time to come together with loved ones, forget any
differences, and just have a great time. Plus, it's a wonderful opportunity to
embrace the vibrant colours of spring and enjoy some delicious food. Oh, where
do I even start? Holi is a feast for the taste buds. I absolutely love
indulging in sweets like gujiya and jalebi, and no Holi celebration is complete
without some refreshing thandai. It's all about savouring those festive
flavours. Definitely! One Holi that stands out for me is when my entire family
got together. We had so much fun playing with colours, chasing each other
around, and, of course, enjoying lots of yummy food. It's those simple, joyful
moments that make Holi so special.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Anupama Solanki</b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">I get goosebumps when I hear about Holi. It's my all-time favorite
festival because I get the chance to eat gujiya, and that day is my cheat day.
For breakfast, we have homemade pakora and samosa with ginger tea, and in the
afternoon, we enjoy yummy gujiya. At night, we binge on puri, kheer, or
something chatpata. I must say, if you want to enjoy Holi, then Mumbai is the
best place to celebrate it. You can party at any club during the daytime with
water showers, lots of colors, and snacks. During my childhood days, I used to
start Holi celebrations two days earlier. My mother and I would start crushing
dry fruits for gujiya. Every shop in our locality would be decorated with lots
of colors and water guns. It was an amazing memory. I miss those days because for many years, I didn't celebrate Holi the way I did in my school days. I used
to hear the story of the god Narasimha devotee Prahlad sitting in the fire with
Holika, and how he was saved from the fire. Also, how Narsimha Dev killed
Hirnyakasyhap. It was an amazing story. After that, my belief increased towards
our Hindu gods. That's why Holi always excites me, and I'm eagerly waiting for
it.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">Madirakshi Mundle<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">I don’t know yet if I am working that day or not! But growing up, it has
always been fun. It is a festival that is celebrated all over India with a lot
of fervour. I never miss performing the Holi pooja. Then of course the colours
and the food; how can I miss any of that? My favourite childhood memory is the
one with my friends and family. All of them! Drenching un-suspecting folks,
smearing colour on folks, trying to escape. I’ve done it all. Mumbai Holi is
more about Holi parties with dhinchak music and friends from the industry. I’ve
been to a few. Might attend some if I get the chance.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>

we keep planning for so long how we are going to dance and play with Colors. My
plans depend on my shooting schedule, if I have an extra day off I go home and
play there , otherwise In Mumbai we go out with friends. Food if in Mumbai then
I eat of course Mumbai street special, and if I’m in delhi then there’s a
buffet, full of sweets, especially gujiya. And then chaats and everything. The
one where I almost got painted in black colour all over because before that my
younger brother got painted pink by the herbal gulal. But he just took that
blue colour , and I almost had to wait for a week to remove it, but we were
children so ya it’s funny. Also we used to go on the terrace and wait for
everyone to pass by the street, we made sure no one went without a water
balloon.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>

I have no specific plans this year, but
you never know! All our festivals are about victory over evil, but,for me, Holi
is about the absolute divine relationship Pralhad had with his God. Holi is
also about colors, food, and eating too. I love eating puranpoli and sometimes
gujiya too . I remember Holi used to be a big thing back then and all my
schoolmates used to live in the same area. So one year I played so much with
colours that my face had become black, and I decided to visit my best friend to
play Holi. He used to stay 10 minutes away. I reached his house, of course,
playing with colours on the way. The moment he saw me, he started
shouting-bhoot bhoot and everyone in his house started laughing and I didn’t
know what to do. His mom gave me soap to clean my face and later we had some
food but he never stopped calling me bhoot after that<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">Saanand Verma<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">I love playing Holi and savoring the crispy pua with mutton made by my
mother. I usually don't eat mutton, but it is on this day of the year that I
do. Holi holds a lot of significance because on this day, all differences are
forgotten. The fragrance of the colors brings so much positivity and encourages
people to come together and celebrate as one.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">Nitin Goswami<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">I celebrate Holi
depending on whether I'm shooting or not. If I'm shooting, we celebrate on set;
otherwise, we plan to attend events or celebrations in clubs or anywhere else
with a group of friends. I love playing with water during Holi, as well as colors.
When we were kids, we used to enjoy smearing each other with 'pakka rang' and
planning how to outwit each other. After Holi, if the color didn't wash off for
two days, we'd make plans to apply 'pakka rang' on each other. Since my dad
retired from the CID police force, we used to live in the CID police colony,
where there was a tube well. After Holi, we'd all gather there to bathe, and
the best part was when we'd mix colorful dye in the tube well water, making it
vibrant and fun. I still cherish those memories. I love Holi because it's a
festival filled with joy, and I enjoy getting soaked in water and dancing to
music. When it comes to food, I don't have many preferences, but I do like
sweets like gulab jamun, jalebi with rabri, and malpua with rabri. I try to
indulge in something sweet on Holi, and that's how we celebrate.<o:p></o:p></span></p>Kolkata Konnecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717623185091805261noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3322950753422750333.post-41732785499551190272024-03-24T22:52:00.000-07:002024-03-24T22:52:15.184-07:00Rapper-composer Star Boy LOC launches latest music video ‘Peeni Hai’ with Ravish Khanna in Delhi<p><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn02IBEBq6FrfiCCy_1vQ4u9rQaeDC-2FDl5IhFliY0LhnD0QpkGKLBqbIOD-mj5GegABxu5HNEI7D3T8SXeiJYtm8VP_n1aJRnZ2s3hrZUVZVsmehWpqXyGrXOz-8iZNUPyys1d_lGCy28f1HA7C6ymw3KNR_Z_puJMD8url9xtQFh7nab-0QgOhd1oGV/s1600/ravish.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn02IBEBq6FrfiCCy_1vQ4u9rQaeDC-2FDl5IhFliY0LhnD0QpkGKLBqbIOD-mj5GegABxu5HNEI7D3T8SXeiJYtm8VP_n1aJRnZ2s3hrZUVZVsmehWpqXyGrXOz-8iZNUPyys1d_lGCy28f1HA7C6ymw3KNR_Z_puJMD8url9xtQFh7nab-0QgOhd1oGV/w480-h640/ravish.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br />Recently, the talented rapper-composer Star Boy LOC released his latest

<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Sandeep Rajora: </b></span><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">I’m always excited
for Holi. I’ll go to the Holi parties with friends. Love the colour camaraderie
and the rain dance. It’s a festival of bonding with people and celebrating
together. I love to eat freshly made gujiyas on Holi. My fondest memory of Holi
was the initial Zoom Holi parties in the early 2000s. it was such a beautiful
and fun vibe meeting all our long-lost industry friends and playing crazy Holi with them.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Preeti Vipin
Choudhary: </b></span><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">I love celebrating
Holi with my entire family in Delhi. My mother-in-law cooks delicious food,
mainly non-vegetarian, and we all enjoy the mutton and tandoori roti together.
We sit and eat together from one plate, and then there's the Gujiya, which is
to die for. My childhood Holi was filled with water and colour, returning home
in the afternoon soaked. However, my fondest memory is of my first Holi after
marriage in Delhi. My dadisaas was very strict, and no one dared to put colour
on her. I took the risk and applied colour and even splashed her with a tub of
water. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Shruti Ulfat: </b></span><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Holi is usually
celebrated with family, but this year, let's see... I might celebrate with
friends. Still deciding. Childhood memories are filled with lots of them. Holi
is my favourite festival. I remember in Dehradun, where I am from, as children,
we would fill balloons the evening prior and collect buckets filled with water
balloons. Then the next day, we would go to the terrace and splash them on the
road and people who walked past. What fun it was for us! And then, of course,
playing until 4 pm, and then eating, bathing, and going to sleep. Happy Holi to
all. Please be safe and use safe colours.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Sikandar
Kharbanda: </b></span><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">I’ll be celebrating
an eco-friendly Holi with dry colours with my friends and family. Also
currently we are shooting a Holi sequence on a grand scale on the set. So it’s
an extended celebration either way. Holi added colours to all the best memories
of my childhood. It was and still is my favourite festival. Living in a joint
family, my cousins and I would prepare days in advance, gathering balloons,
planning pranks, and buying colours and on the day of the festival we would all be
unrecognisable. Food, especially desserts were an integral part of Holi. Truly
happy memories.</span></p>Kolkata Konnecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717623185091805261noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3322950753422750333.post-9210432767018255142024-03-23T20:05:00.000-07:002024-03-23T20:05:52.170-07:00Jigna Vora shares her experience on a recent visit to prestigious Christ University<p><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuWRbGnEKe_CceY-jxZBdBVGEBzMfUTU-RrjE64ixnNMelbO81YLfrdsLCeZf5cVXWTqed1Fn9m4Ft01FHW_YhT5KtJ6uLOXlJIKflVSdhBexhU-c_cso3K6AHbed5DSQ4b9Be4CcSe3LXVmZa6Ha6hy2QDl2wI4BpB_0S-ZfAm8th4XPbW9L8eLNrYKgW/s1280/jigna.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="718" data-original-width="1280" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuWRbGnEKe_CceY-jxZBdBVGEBzMfUTU-RrjE64ixnNMelbO81YLfrdsLCeZf5cVXWTqed1Fn9m4Ft01FHW_YhT5KtJ6uLOXlJIKflVSdhBexhU-c_cso3K6AHbed5DSQ4b9Be4CcSe3LXVmZa6Ha6hy2QDl2wI4BpB_0S-ZfAm8th4XPbW9L8eLNrYKgW/w640-h360/jigna.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />Bigg Boss 17 contestant Jigna Vora has been
travelling a lot post her stint in Bigg Boss. She went to Christ University in

"Christ University is one of the country's best universities having
churned out many startups. It was a very honourable moment as a chief guest at
the university. I was invited to the Raabta Festival organized by MESTA and was
part of a panel discussion on - Art as Activism: Unveiling the Power of Indie
Expression to Drive Social Change. I also spoke about my experience as a
journalist and what mistakes one should not make while reporting incidents. I
also spoke about ethics in journalism. It was an interactive session as
students also asked their queries.” </span></p>

our country and hence it’s very important to be responsible towards what we
report. Visiting colleges is always nostalgic, it reminds me of my college
days. I spoke to students about their lives, and the difficulties they face,
specifically students who are away from home. I must admit students are very
well updated with what’s going around in the world due to social media exposure
which was not the case during our time. Today’s youth have their own strong
opinions and don’t hesitate to express or voice out. Such interactive sessions
are a learning experience for me too - like they made me aware of how important
social media is plus nowadays students don’t judge anyone, they are very
receptive. During our time as students, we were very domicile and not proactive
like today.”</span></p>Kolkata Konnecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717623185091805261noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3322950753422750333.post-38420261494105109102024-03-22T01:26:00.000-07:002024-03-22T01:26:10.275-07:00Icon Diljit Dosanjh teams up with international sensation Saweetie for summer smash Hit 'Khutti'<p><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjisoEq18whgrMrfZj-0kEmY-Sjn0yQyRMRlt87-0rGd6wXy-7LkO4gSWCg-hzjn8eppX-x5c3duMARTInb4L7AKGni4h9ADemtSbi9ywlVDG9xxCy4nsjM5ZfJTPZX3iuzu_TFF_RRmJRI9XIpMSRoRoKlhcUnYwc3klHnoOgGwpBooOKpkizkagsGUW4N/s1600/diljit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1066" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjisoEq18whgrMrfZj-0kEmY-Sjn0yQyRMRlt87-0rGd6wXy-7LkO4gSWCg-hzjn8eppX-x5c3duMARTInb4L7AKGni4h9ADemtSbi9ywlVDG9xxCy4nsjM5ZfJTPZX3iuzu_TFF_RRmJRI9XIpMSRoRoKlhcUnYwc3klHnoOgGwpBooOKpkizkagsGUW4N/w426-h640/diljit.jpg" width="426" /></a></div><br />Iconic Indian actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh continues his global music

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">March 18 was Shashi Kapoor’s
birthday and when Chor Machaye Shor was released on 22nd March 1974 just four days
after Shashi Kapoor’s birthday what a birthday present he got! The film
released exactly 50 years ago became a ‘surprise’ superhit of the year thus
giving a boost to Shashi’s sagging career then. But the critics attributed the
film’s success to the reigning queen then - Mumtaz with whom Shashi had refused
to work with in Sachaa Jhutha (yes Sachaa Jhutha was supposed to star Shashi in
the double role which finally went to Kaka going in to become a blockbuster). The
film was produced by ‘hit’ producer N N Sippy and became director Ashok
Roy’s biggest and only success.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The film boasted hit songs
like Ghungroo ki Tarah and the cult Le Jayenge Le Jayenge - first, a solo by
Kishore Kumar and next the duet by Kishore & Asha Bhonsle, not to forget
the two Mohammed Rafi duets - Ek Daal Par Tota Bole and Paon Mein Dori. The
music was given by Ravindra Jain which also led to the success of this film.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The film was a total commercial
potboiler. Vijay (a dashing Shashi Kapoor) is an engineer who is in love with a
very rich girl Rekha (the effortless and beautiful Mumtaz in one of her last
appearances) but her father Jagdish (played by Kamal Kapoor) disapproves of the
relationship and arranges her marriage to the villainous politician Seth
Jamnadas’( Madan Puri) son. Seth Jamnadas frames Vijay for the crime that the
latter didn’t commit and goes to jail where he befriends three criminals - Raju
Ustad (Danny), Kalua (Tarun Ghosh who was also the story writer of this film), and Bhalua (Asrani). Together they escape to a village Shantinagar and are joined by Rekha and how all of them help the villagers to escape from the evil
clutches of Seth Jamnadas forms the rest of the film.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The movie had dollops of comedy,
action, and solid dialogues (especially Danny mouthing ‘teri Maa ko meri apni

beauties who are always on top of their game when it comes to radiating
positive vibes, beauty, charm, and exuberance. While it is a daunting task
naturally for some due to which a team of fashion experts comes in handy all the
time, for some, it is something absolutely natural. Fashion is all about
feeling good, happy, and confident in your own skin and in your own comfort zone
and very few manage to crack that hack successfully. To add to that, the Indian
entertainment industry is something the entire country looks up to when it comes
to vogue and fashion choices and henceforth, it becomes all the way more
important to be a hotstepper in this department. So today, here we are taking a
look at three such hot steppers in the Indian entertainment industry who have
recently been grabbing attention and eyeballs for all the right reasons. Let's
take a close look.<p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Kriti Sanon</b>: Well, she's classy, and dynamic and almost every adjective
falls short for this magnetic beauty. She's always been at her absolute best
and that's why, anything from bold and high-chic to ethnic, traditional, and
simple comes naturally to her. A mandatory pick indeed in this special list.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Madhurima Tuli:</b> Well, without any element of doubt, this diva deserves
to be on this list simply because of the consistency that she manages to show
from her end. Right from the time she started her career till now, she's always
been rated highly for her fashion game and perhaps, she's actually one of the
very few who's known for both her acting talent and fashion game. Even
some time back, she spun heads big time with her shimmery, off-shoulder, slit
gown at the Zee Cine Awards 2024 and seeing her, we totally fell in love. From
the simple and casual airport style to dolled-up avatars, she's a 10-10 in
every department and that's what sets her apart from the majority of her
contemporaries.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Sobhita Dhulipala</b>: Last but certainly not least, we have to talk
about Sobhita Dhulipala in this list and why not. Right from the word go, she's
been in her element and most importantly, she believes in setting her own
trends instead of following the crowd. From the bold V-neck midi outfits to her
pantsuits and 'boss babe' avatars, we truly love every bit of it and can't keep
calm for all the right reasons. No wonder, she is a well-deserved entry in this
special list. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">So readers,
according to us aka your 'fashion police', we truly feel these are the divas
whom you really need to see and take inspiration from if hitting the vogue
quotient bang on point is your goal. </span></p>Kolkata Konnecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717623185091805261noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3322950753422750333.post-28359347283629888672024-03-20T11:08:00.000-07:002024-03-20T11:08:53.222-07:00Global Star Ram Charan's RC16 with an internationally acclaimed team launched extravagantly<p><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIXYWLOua3xzQbpR24uhTLwUopL15pTD7nLMALDBGz2Y5pATeohttcl90pnKpT9sgNWefWJLnEmCV7o7gvm319kK2kwCaaXNCnDA1dBK6FKri3eEIunjSgHD_iqVwInVH-fHXqcmrAh3WVTrPsbyzBU5glF7Mg7WNmOKxf9sbIWj4f_0mC04Cqc8A0wfh4/s402/charan.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="300" data-original-width="402" height="478" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIXYWLOua3xzQbpR24uhTLwUopL15pTD7nLMALDBGz2Y5pATeohttcl90pnKpT9sgNWefWJLnEmCV7o7gvm319kK2kwCaaXNCnDA1dBK6FKri3eEIunjSgHD_iqVwInVH-fHXqcmrAh3WVTrPsbyzBU5glF7Mg7WNmOKxf9sbIWj4f_0mC04Cqc8A0wfh4/w640-h478/charan.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />Global star Ram Charan's fan base and stardom have soared worldwide

is the little things that make all the difference when it comes to being happy.
He says that he remembers multiple instances in his life when he was truly
happy.<p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">“For me, happiness is all about finding joy in the little things,
cherishing moments with loved ones, and pursuing my passion with dedication.
While my career brings me immense fulfillment, I believe true happiness extends
beyond professional success. It's about finding a balance between personal and
professional life, nurturing relationships, and pursuing activities that bring
me joy outside of work. Maintaining this balance is indeed challenging, but I
prioritize self-care, spend quality time with family and friends, and pursue
hobbies that rejuvenate me mentally and emotionally,” he says.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">He adds, “There have been many occasions when I felt truly happy, during
my struggle days, with friends. I remember the day when I landed my first major
role; I got Ekta's message about me improving as an actor. Other happy memories are tying the knot with my partner, getting a divorce order, putting a smile on the director's face with my work, or reuniting with a long-lost school friend.
These moments are priceless and fill my heart with joy.”</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ask him what gives him instant happiness, and he says, “Instant
happiness, for me, comes from simple pleasures like sipping a cup of coffee,
watching a captivating film, drawing a sketch, shooting an amazing photograph,
having heart-to-heart conversations with my loved ones or helping someone
without any expectation. These activities instantly uplift my mood and bring a
sense of contentment.”</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">He has a
message for his fans! “To my followers and fans, I'd like to convey a message
of gratitude. Your love and support mean the world to me, and I'm incredibly
grateful for every opportunity to entertain and connect with you all. Remember
to find happiness in the small moments, spread kindness wherever you go, and

Khurana’s next is Murder Mubarak in which he has an important role.
Interestingly Nikhil’s film Sanaa (which was released in the film festival) was
seen by the producer and director duo Dinesh Vijan (Maddock Films) and Homi
Adajania. <p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Nikhil narrates, "Homi Adajania and Dinesh
Vijan watched me in Sanaa and liked my work. Homi sir instructed the casting
director to cast me in Murder Mubarak. A few days later, I received a call from
the casting director who offered me a small but impactful role, which intrigued
me. The role revolves around a character who manages an orphanage and is
devastated upon learning about the murder of his friend and co-caretaker. The
story delves into his journey of coping with the loss and how he will take this
story forward.”</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Nikhil feels a great team is always instrumental in
an actor’s career. He adds, "I have always aspired to be in the same team
as Homi Adajania and Maddock Films. They are individuals who truly understand
the craft. Every actor desires to work with acclaimed producers and directors
to further develop their craft.”</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Murder Mubarak is inspired by Anuja Chauhan's book 'Club You To Death'. Nikhil read a few parts of the book and felt compelled to do
the film. He says, "The script was so well-crafted and was evolving at
every turn. There was no doubt in my mind; that it was perfect. The book itself was
excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.”</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The film which is currently streaming on Netflix has a great ensemble cast consisting of
Karishma Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Sanjay Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Tisca Chopra,
Sara Ali Khan and Vijay Verma. </span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Nikhil defines his entire experience as amazing. “I
shot with Sara, Vijay Verma, Pankaj Tripathi, Karisma Kapoor, and Dimple
Kapadia. Working with Karisma Kapoor was particularly delightful as we had
scenes together, and she was incredibly welcoming and professional. During our
scene discussions, she approached the work as a true team player, dedicated to
making each scene the best it could be. It was inspiring to collaborate with
individuals who are driven to work hard, as it encourages you to deliver your
best performance. It was indeed one of the best experiences to work with Homi
Adajania and Maddock Films. It’s always been on my wish list to collaborate
with the best in the business. Homi is a cool person on set, and at the same
time, he knows exactly what he wants. There's no judgment from him, and he's
always available to help. He expects his actors to give their best and strives
to bring out the best in them. I hope to work with him on a full-length film
soon.”</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">OTT series and film characters are more
interesting to play as they are relatable and real and we have noticed that in
many OTT series and films. Nikhil also echoes the same. “Roles in OTT are very
interesting, and as an actor, I approach them from the same perspective. As
long as the role excites you and can resonate with audiences
worldwide, I believe it's a good enough reason to pursue it. Certainly, OTT
platforms offer a diversity of roles, providing opportunities even for those outside
the industry to enter the world of cinema. OTT can be likened to the IPL of the
movie business. Working in OTT can serve as a great stepping stone to the big
screen. I am very excited and looking forward to what lies ahead. Additionally,
there is another show called 'Pill,' possibly releasing in April, produced by
Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Films and directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. So all things
lined up and God has really been kind and the journey is going well till now,” Nikhil signed off.</span></p>Kolkata Konnecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717623185091805261noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3322950753422750333.post-86084944758179295862024-03-19T21:23:00.000-07:002024-03-19T21:23:17.180-07:00Payal Ghosh in 'Shaque: The Doubt' is all set to bring out Zeenat Aman's story of resilience & determination<p><span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-8dxtKnwcaTiXMtgk0VklPEGHDb3qkgjkQZ8_6KJ19OKydfYZkbDur4Ojqmqo_NEyYoZPLVeKCsR50y56T9NtG6pixd820VXiPl2yhh5XJcX6L6bqEr7pJfGUSvKMIjjGg9nY28d7AMzSCjtPI6sXMRtuFhMF9Fio1kYY_UxnJqun9bijWJbE7TPyvdzS/s1600/shaque.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1026" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-8dxtKnwcaTiXMtgk0VklPEGHDb3qkgjkQZ8_6KJ19OKydfYZkbDur4Ojqmqo_NEyYoZPLVeKCsR50y56T9NtG6pixd820VXiPl2yhh5XJcX6L6bqEr7pJfGUSvKMIjjGg9nY28d7AMzSCjtPI6sXMRtuFhMF9Fio1kYY_UxnJqun9bijWJbE7TPyvdzS/w410-h640/shaque.jpg" width="410" /></a></div><br />Payal Ghosh is one of the most hardworking and
admired actresses in the Indian entertainment industry. After
having had her share of success and fandom in South regional cinema, Payal
managed to spin heads with her impactful work in Bollywood. Ever since then, there was simply no looking back for the talented artiste. Her
last film 'Fire Of Love: Red' was a grand success and the movie fetched her
both commercial success and critical acclaim, something that she always deserved
as an artiste. From the time when she ran away from her home in Bengal to
becoming a sought-after actress in the Indian entertainment industry today,
she's truly come a long way forward indeed. <p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Payal's upcoming movie Shaque: The Doubt is
creating a lot of buzz everywhere on social media because Payal is all set to
become the first actress who's set to play the legendary yesteryear superstar
Zeenat Aman on-screen. Yes, that's right. Payal's character in the movie is set
to be inspired by Zeenat Aman and no wonder, it will truly be a delight to
see Payal hit the oomph factor high with her version of 'Dum Maaro Dum'.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">However, one must note the fact that 'Shaque: The
Doubt' isn't just about presenting the hot and sensuous version of Zeenat Aman.
The movie has a lot to do with the inspiring and motivating traits of
Zeenat Aman and that according to Payal is the real challenge. With regards to
bringing that alive on-screen, Payal shares and we quote,</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">"Well, Zeenat Aman ji is a legend and it's an
honour for anyone to get to play a character based on her on-screen. However,
one must note that Zeenat Aman ji is a lot more than the hotness and oomph that
she's associated with. While all that is certainly there, she's also about
inspiring the youth in the right direction. She has always been a self-dependent,
hardworking, and motivated individual for whom, a career was always an important
choice. For someone like her to break stereotypes in the industry and that too
at a time when the majority of women didn't have the freedom to work, it speaks a
lot about her resilience and determination as a personality. Even today, for
many women, the journey towards a working life isn't easy. So it's only safe to
imagine that during her era, it was 10 times more difficult. Still, she managed
to use her resilience and determination despite all the setbacks and obstacles
that she faced in her life to become the legend that she is today. For me,
that's the real challenge to bring alive on-screen in my character. I am going
to do my thorough research and prepare very well to do justice to her legacy
and the faith that my director Rajeev Chaudhari has shown in me. I am looking
forward to receiving a lot of love for this one from my audience. Fingers
crossed."</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Well, kudos to Payal for showing so much love and
respect to a living legend and taking the opportunity so seriously that she
wants to deliver and do her best for the same. Here's wishing the super
talented and beautiful actress all the very best for everything that she does
going forward. </span></p>Kolkata Konnecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717623185091805261noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3322950753422750333.post-11806833309115950882024-03-19T21:19:00.000-07:002024-03-19T21:19:26.064-07:00Unveiling 'Deewani': A compelling saga of love and redemption on Dangal TV<p><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; text-align: justify;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLl0YxzB4jyp2hC60vaH1ad5szlB4cHdtUc_dQOsQcdC6c8jGICgntuV5ReYDSgL0CEqFghm8FjnNBg6loU89rLm9zuCyr03BYyeITik97rc4xroGgDA3xRFOB4wqFmNReQfLlSr-5G4L7Eml6uUuTsSNC8hCvv5v6ZVGD5Eq0yCVEjD2X5oQ5v-y1RIyH/s1290/deewani.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="699" data-original-width="1290" height="346" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLl0YxzB4jyp2hC60vaH1ad5szlB4cHdtUc_dQOsQcdC6c8jGICgntuV5ReYDSgL0CEqFghm8FjnNBg6loU89rLm9zuCyr03BYyeITik97rc4xroGgDA3xRFOB4wqFmNReQfLlSr-5G4L7Eml6uUuTsSNC8hCvv5v6ZVGD5Eq0yCVEjD2X5oQ5v-y1RIyH/w640-h346/deewani.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />The

of his films (and performances) which are very close to my heart.
Mostly under-utilized as an artist, Shashi Kapoor came to his own in some of
his self-produced films and a handful of others. <p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;">Here are some of my personal favourites </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Dharmputra (1961) - Yash Chopra </b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;">Yash Chopra’s second directorial venture after the
memorable Dhool La Phool was Shashi’s first role as an adult star. Playing the
role of Dilip Rai a Hindu fundamentalist who hates Muslims, until he discovers a
shocking truth about his birth, Shashi Kapoor is fantastic in a much-underrated film with sterling performances. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;"><b>The Householder (1963) - James Ivory</b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;">A heartwarming performance by Shashi Kapoor who
plays the young Prem Sagar, a man struggling to cope with the challenges
his new marriage to Leela Naidu throws up to him. Trying to juggle his mother
and his wife in an attempt to keep both of them happy, Shashi is brilliant as
the young hapless husband who eventually through the journey of life discovers
the key to nurturing a marriage. A must-watch.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Jab Jab Phool Khile (1965) - Suraj Prakash</b> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;">Shashi Kapoor exudes charm, innocence, and a heartwarming vulnerability as Raja a simple Kashmiri boatman who falls in love with
a city-bred girl, marries here and goes to the city to live there. His
inability to adjust to urban ways of life constantly conflicting with his love
for his wife forms the crux of the story. A successful soundtrack by the (then)
young duo of Kalyanji Anandji and beautiful performances by the lead pair make
this film a memorable watch. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Kabhi Kabhie (1976) - Yash Chopra </b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;">A stand-out performance in a film with an ensemble
cast. As Vijay Khanna the architect who lives his life larger than life, Shashi
infuses a robust energy and a passion in his character that is in brilliant
contrast to the sobered-down simmering character of Amit (Amitabh Bachchan).
Very rarely does one character stand out so much in a film filled with so many
memorable characters. Shashi Kapoor managed that in Kabhi Kabhie. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Junoon (1978) - Shyam Benegal </b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;">Based on Ruskin Bond’s A Flight of Pigeons, this
Benegal film tells the tale of a fiery rebellious Javed Khan and his obsession
with the young and beautiful Ruth. Set against a backdrop of the revolt of 1857
the film is laced with brilliant performances by Naseeruddin Shah, Jennifer
Kendall, Shabana Azmi, and Nafeesa Ali. The icing on the cake is Shashi
Kapoor. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;"><b>New Delhi Times (1986) - Ramesh Sharma </b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;">Shashi Kapoor’s portrayal of Vikas Pande an honest
journalist who comes to Delhi to manage a newspaper and gets caught in the
cesspool of the media-politician nexus and the corruption of the entire system
is simply fabulous. Written by Gulzar, this gritty political drama is one of Shashi’s best roles. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;"><b>In Custody (Muhaafiz) (1993) - Ismail
Merchant</b></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;">Based on Anita Desai’s novel In Custody, Shashi
Kapoor in one of his last memorable performances as Noor Shahjahanbaadi an
aging legend of an Urdu poet and his decadent decaying lifestyle.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="background: white; line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span face="Arial, sans-serif" style="color: #222222; font-size: 12pt;"><i>- By Pratik Majumdar </i></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Murder Mubarak starts with a murder and a
hunt for Prince Harry a cat at the elite Delhi Royal Club. Only it turns out
that the murder victim Guppie Ram (Brijendra Kala) an elderly club employee has
only passed out not passed on! That sets the note for Homi Adajania’s latest oeuvre
based on Anuja Chauhan’s book “Club You To Death”. Aha!! but there IS a
twist - the leacherous gym trainer Leo Mathews (Aashim Gulati) has been
done in and that too at his workspace.</span><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Arrives ACP Bhawani Singh (Pankaj Tripathi)
to investigate the murder with SI Padam Kumar (Priyank Tiwary) in tow. Only to
discover that the motley collection of characters he has been assigned to talk
to ALL have an axe to grind with the far from dear and departed soul. Turns out
the bloke was making money on the side by blackmailing the suspects, yes, all
of them.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">There’s the flamboyant Raja Saheb Rannvijay
Singh (a scruffy not in form Sanjay Kapoor) who seems to be living in his glorious past, palming off
dirty 20 rupee notes as bakshish to the orderlies at the club; <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Bambi Todi (Sara Ali Khan) the bewitching
merry widow of Anshul (Varun Mitra) the self-righteous catty and bitching brigade led by Roshni Batra (Tisca Chopra) Cookie Katoch (Dimple Kapadia) who
is always cooking up a storm with her wisecracks; Shehnaaz Noorani (Karishma
Kapoor looking like a million bucks in her comeback) a B grade actress working in C grade movies. Roshni’s recovering addict son Yash (Suhail Nayyar) and lawyer Kashi aka Aakash Dogra (Vijay

lives of these colourful club members he starts unraveling many a truth and concludes
that it could have been anyone or every one of them. To complicate matters a
skeleton turns up in the kitchen garden, and two suicide attempts take place,
one of them successful. And as for poor Prince Harry, well, he lands up in the oven….just
baked…<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">The problem with Murder Mubarak is the wafer-thin
plot, the snail speed, a screenplay that is all over the place, and Homi’s
inability to actually cash in on the talented lineup of actors who signed up
for the project. What a criminal waste.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">There is a perplexed look on most of the
faces of the characters as if they have wandered in on to the wrong sets and
once having been trapped tried to make the best of a bad job. And full marks to them for braving their way through the muddle. <o:p></o:p></span>An unnecessary love-making scene featuring Sara and Vijay certainly doesn't help to keep off the snores either.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">By the time the ACP assembles all the

that it has grown by leaps and bounds. While Somy, who now runs a US-based NGO
called No More Tears, loves evergreen films, she is also very fond of the work
that newer actors are doing.<p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">“When I was a kid, I loved Mumtazji and Rajesh Khana together, (still
obsessed) then in the 90's it was Aamir, Shah Rukh, Madhuri Ji, Rekhaji, and now
it's stagnantly Shah Rukh, Rani, Kajol, Deepika, and Alia. I saw the film Animal
recently and found Ranbir to be a phenomenal actor. If I closed my eyes and
listened to him, he reminded me of Sanju a great deal and even watching him the
way his smoking style or carrying himself all reminded me of acting with Sanju.
In fact, I even loved Bobby Deol in the film. He was literally scary to me, despite playing a mute role, which is a huge compliment to him. The girl who
played Ranbir's wife was so natural and realistic not to mention
extraordinarily beautiful,” she says.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">She adds, “I still go back to watching Shree 420, Awara, Mili with Amit
and Jayaji, and Mera Naam Joker, these are some of my favourites. I love Anand and
Bawarchi too. In the newer ones, at least those who are new to me, Taapsee is
definitely someone who I would watch, Deepika and Kangana too. I miss Irrfan
Khan and it kills me that we lost him so young and I can't get over how many
younger stars are gone. Piku was amazing and so was Lunch Box. And, I have
watched Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna at least five times. No one can make me cry like
Rani and Shah Rukh or Shah Rukh and Kajol. And, how can we forget about the
beyond-talented Hrithik. No one can dance as well as he does. Literally, it's
like his body parts are robotic. I loved him in Mujhse Dosti Karoge with Kareena
and Rani.”</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ask her if there is
a particular role or project that has left a lasting impact on her outlook on
life, and she says, “Yes, my role as a wife of an extremely sadistic and
abusive husband with Om Puriji, was a role I will always remember. The script
demanded me to marry him because even though he was 20 years older than me and
I was in love with someone else, my family needed money to exist. To play an
abused victim was tough because I grew up in it and it kept reminding me of my
mother and what she endured, but Omji was so supportive and practiced lines
with me. He asked me again and again if I needed a break and if there was
something that was triggering my childhood memories so he could have the
director improvise to change it. I mean that was my best character which I
could relate to for several reasons. The movie was called Chupp and it was a
remake of Kakaji's film's remake which is amazing given I have wanted to marry
him since I was nine years old, as ridiculous as it sounds now. Conclusively,
as Irrfan said, in one of his films: ‘Life is random and nothing truly means
anything. Things just happen, today we are here and tomorrow we're simply warm
food’.”</span></p>Kolkata Konnecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07717623185091805261noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3322950753422750333.post-26351586019484214592024-03-15T20:46:00.000-07:002024-03-15T20:46:16.624-07:00From Neeraj Pandey to Mozez Singh: Path-breaking filmmakers set to shine all over again in 2024<p><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSJs8yFHdAOHtAwEWIlQHKvklspG0a3EjhhkbghgiD42Pwwn6CkJeBSExzNC8ClIsvmdaC-J3FTs6Wqlh-yLjc53-VSdZQkG08ytg9qmnJH64XHXT518ErpVwQRrNMSCs7qpE_aeQhoqhGihdH5oAOwIdOggfJXefC-kr9ZADeHRL6R1hnmhJpHnZp79vx/s1600/pathbreaking.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSJs8yFHdAOHtAwEWIlQHKvklspG0a3EjhhkbghgiD42Pwwn6CkJeBSExzNC8ClIsvmdaC-J3FTs6Wqlh-yLjc53-VSdZQkG08ytg9qmnJH64XHXT518ErpVwQRrNMSCs7qpE_aeQhoqhGihdH5oAOwIdOggfJXefC-kr9ZADeHRL6R1hnmhJpHnZp79vx/w640-h360/pathbreaking.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />Films are said to be the mirror of society and they've often been
used as a powerful instrument to champion change. Over the years, filmmakers
have often tried to break myths and societal norms through their unique style
of filmmaking, carving a niche for themselves. Here are five such filmmakers
who have been path-breakers with their unique, gripping, and heart-touching storytelling.<p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0cm; vertical-align: bottom;"><span style="color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><b>Reema Kagti</b> – Reema has created her own off-beaten path with content
that has really struck a chord with viewers all over. Her riveting series
‘Dahaad’ was highly spoken about and received critical acclaim with the fine
