Fresh off the success of their Unforgettable ’90s
LIVE USA & Canada Tour 2026, legendary singer Kumar Sanu and global pop
artist-actor Shannon K recently performed together for the first time at the
prestigious Royal Albert Hall during a grand live symphony orchestra concert in
London. Organised by Rock On Music, the special evening blended timeless
Bollywood melodies with the richness of orchestral sound, creating a
spectacular bilingual musical experience for audiences across generations.
The landmark London performance followed the
successful Unforgettable ’90s LIVE USA & Canada Tour 2026, where Shannon K
joined Kumar Sanu and Sadhana Sargam for a multi-city musical journey across
North America. Held through March and April 2026, the tour travelled across
major cities including New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, Austin, Charlotte,
Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, San Diego, San Jose, Winnipeg, and Toronto.
While Kumar Sanu and Sadhana Sargam revived the golden era of ’90s Bollywood
with their iconic songs, Shannon K brought a contemporary edge with English and
Hindi renditions that strongly connected with Gen Z and millennial audiences.
Organised by Shri Balaji Entertainment and led by Rocky Kaushal and Darshan
Mehta, the tour successfully bridged generations by presenting timeless
classics through a modern lens, while Shannon’s dynamic stage presence and
global pop sensibility added a refreshing energy to the concerts, making the
music feel equally nostalgic for longtime fans and exciting for younger
listeners discovering these songs for the first time.
Speaking about the recently concluded Unforgettable
’90s LIVE tour and the Royal Albert Hall concert, Shannon K said, “I had the
opportunity to perform alongside two iconic singers, my father, Kumar Sanu, and
Sadhana Ma’am, and being part of the USA tour again this year was incredibly
special. As younger audiences continue to rediscover ’90s Bollywood through
reels, remixes, and streaming platforms, I’ve loved reimagining this music
through a modern pop lens, connecting the magic of the ’90s with my generation
and showing that great music never belongs to just one era.”
When asked about Shannon joining the tour, Kumar
Sanu shared, “It started when my audience was constantly asking about Shannon
and how they enjoy her English songs. So my promotion and I decided to get her
onboard for 2 shows and see how it goes. The way audiences showered love on
Shannon when she performed English songs, I realized that USA, Canada and UK
audiences listen to both English and Hindi music. Shannon added freshness and
value to my ’90s setup, and her ability to sing ’90s songs in a pop style brought
modern energy while respecting the emotion of the originals.”
Talking about the tour, Sadhana Sargam said, “I was
so honored and happy to join Sanu da on stage once again. It felt wonderful to
sing our old songs and see the new generation enjoying them as well. Shannon
was the cherry on top of the tour, as she connected with younger audiences and
was a valuable addition to the show.”
Building on the success of its previous editions,
Unforgettable ’90s LIVE returned in 2026 with Kumar Sanu’s timeless voice,
Sadhana Sargam’s melodies, and Shannon K’s global pop presence bringing
together artists and sounds from different generations on one stage. The tour
created a musical experience enjoyed by lakhs of fans across North America
before culminating in their first-ever performance together at the iconic Royal
Albert Hall with a live symphony orchestra.
