The 10th edition of the Durgapur International Film
Festival (DIFF) held at Nandan, from 2nd to 6th July, concluded with a
spectacular Closing & Award Ceremony on 7th July at Sujata Devi Smriti
Sadan. Organized by Tiyasha Movies and Prabha Blessing Foundation the
festival stood out as a glorious platform for global cinema and cultural
harmony.
Over 90 films from over 20 countries were screened
across five days, including short films, feature films, documentaries,
animations, and music videos. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation
from filmmakers, delegates, cinephiles, and cultural representatives from
across the globe.
The festival was graced by renowned Indian film
personalities such as Rituparna Sengupta, Jaya Seal Ghosh, and many others, who
added charm and grace to the occasion.
The distinguished Jury Panel featured noted
filmmaker and academician Prof. Ashok Viswanathan, senior film critic and
dramatist Sabyasachi Biswas, reputed media personality Megh Banerjee, along
with several other eminent figures from creative and academic circles.
A key highlight of the festival was the conferring
of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award to Padma Shri Sabitri
Chatterjee in recognition of her extraordinary contribution to Indian
cinema and theatre. The closing evening sparkled with cultural performances and
the announcement of over 80 awards across national and international
categories.
Festival director Debolina Modak Sadhu and festival
chairman Kajari Modak conveyed heartfelt gratitude to all guests, jury members,
volunteers, media, and participants for making DIFF 2025 an overwhelming
success.
