The Kolkata International Foundation for Arts, Literature, and Culture (KIFALC) will be hosting a Documentary Film Festival on May 17th and 18th. This two-day event will showcase a diverse selection of thought-provoking films, featuring three docu feature films among a total of nine captivating screenings from 4 pm onwards on both days at the Kolkata International Foundation for Arts, Literature and Culture at Raja Basanta Roy Road.
Curated by acclaimed documentary filmmaker Indranil Sarkar the films include "Living On The Edge", "Potokar", "Back To The Roots", "Basa: The Story of our Home", "The Turning Point", "Bengal Famine 1943", "Gosain", "The Story of a Golden River", and "Mon Pabaner Nao".
The festival aims to
celebrate the art of documentary filmmaking by bringing together filmmakers,
enthusiasts, and the community to engage with stories that inspire and educate.
Each screening will provide audiences with an opportunity to delve into various
themes, perspectives, and narratives that reflect the world we live in.
