Netajinagar Saraswati Natyasala is organising its sixth Natyatsav from November 11 to 14 at Tapan Theatre. Held with assistance from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the event will be inaugurated on November 11 in the presence of eminent dignitaries from the cultural world. This year’s Saraswati Natya Samman will also be bestowed on veteran movie and theatre personality and state education minister, Bratya Basu on that day.
A total of 11
theatre groups are taking part in this festival which include Kalindi
Natyasrijan, Nabankur, Howrah Sapnasrijan, Angan Natya Sangstha, Khardah Theatre
Zone, Ranikuthi Angik, Natasena, Aneek, etc.
A panel discussion
on “The exploration of Current social issues in theatre” will also be held on the
evening of November 1.
Ten theatre groups will
be performing on November 12 and 13 from 3 pm onwards.
