The crowd grew wild by the moment at South City Mall. And when Dev finally made an appearance all hell broke loose. The music launch of “Tonic” was truly a grand affair with the cast and crew turning up in full strength on Friday. Veteran singers Nachiketa Chakraborty and Anindya Chattopadhyay along with Anupam Roy performed some of the film’s numbers live on stage to rousing cheers from the hundreds who had gathered there even as music director Jeet Gaanguli, director Avijit Sen, Srijato and Dev looked on along with Atanu Roychaudhuri and Pranab Kumar Guha of Bengal Talkies. Crediting Jeet Ganguli’s music for his success, Dev humbly requested all to watch the film on the big screen when it releases on December 24. The film also stars Paran Bandopadhyay, Koneenica Banerjee, Tnushree Chakraborty and Sujan Mukherjee.
